Took my lorry registration NX14 CRJ (plate shown is private) to sell for me She then offered me a new lorry in exchange reg LP19 EFG which is a 3.5 ton Since then every day someone's died, in hospital, driver tried to kill himself etc. I now have no lorry.


I think I've been scammed out of my £40k original box.


I have endured months and months of stress. She's been in horse hound years back for same thing, I shall be contacting H&H today.


I'm now finding out she's done this to more people. My lorry has been stolen as no payment has ever been made Fraud squad London are aware and dealing with it too.


There is someone driving about in a 4.5 ton Alexander's horsebox sold by Clare Wales which she did not own to sell on we have all the proof of purchase here and I would like my horsebox back!


All this has been really upsetting for me so

I feel for you I really do..but I’m not a skilled googler and in my first search a raft of complaints and warnings appeared about the company.

Much sympathy, OP. That must be awful.

It’s easy for others to say what you should have done afterwards, but how dó you make sure you pick a dealer who isn’t going to do anything dodgy: even if not effectively stealing it as happened here, they could easily sell the lorry for much more than they tell you it sold for, and pocket the difference (plus their fees!).

As we’ve seen recently (Broadhill stables), recommendations or dodgy dealer facebook groups don’t necessarily protect you. An awful lot of people don’t really use the internet, plus scammers are so good at sounding wonderful. Given the right set of circumstances, many people will get taken in by a scammer.
