Lavender uses for equine friends?

My mum has a few lavender plants growing in her garden and usually i just cut them back and use the blooms for lavender bags (she doesn't really do anything with them so i promise i'm not stealing her plants! ) and I was wondering if it has any uses for the 4 legged wonders at my yard. If so what do you do with it?

P.s it's not a massive crop of lavender, it's just 3 medium sized plants but there are always a lot of buds on them.

Ditto Lavender bags make little gifts,On Good Food Website is a lavender sugar, which uses few heads, but in the right jar and packaging can make a nice present.
There is a sheet of labels to print off, which can be tied to the jar, suggesting its uses.
Going to give it a try for a change,
