Have any of you guys used them? I'm currently on the search for the perfect travel rug/universal sheet, but it seems impossible to get a nice one in black at a reasonable price. However I cam across the lavenham ones and they seem very reasonable....
Any experience/ideas appreciated!

Well they used to be the in thing 30 years ago and I believe they were one of the first companies to have a breathable new zealand (turn out) always the best quality and they lasted for years ,didnt realise they were still around.
 
Yes they have been around for a long time. They had a small stand at Badminton and I had a look. They aren't cheap, but the quality looked good from what I could see (only had a quick glance). They used to be THE make to buy.

du think it'll work as a travel rug/universal sheet type thing? It's £38, which seemed pretty reasonable to me-especially as I'll be able to get it in black!!!!

Have used their rugs for years (and yes, up until this year we were still using a rug from them we bought 25 years ago), we can vouch 100% for them.

Up until a few years ago, before they moved premises, they used to hold a twice yearly sale, and the queues outside hours before the sale started, will tell you just how popular their rugs were.

You can still go to their factory and in fact, if you need any rug made deeper, change of buckles, etc. they were always accommodating to do it.

I've been looking for ages and I think this'll be perfect, looks nice and smart so good for shows, and I can get it made up in my XC colours so it'll match my black WW travel boots and all my other black stuff! and hopefully it'll be nice and cool for her to travel in

I have an unworn, still-in-the-bag-with-tags-on black suede fleece Masta travel/show rug in 6ft 3" if you're looking for an alternative? I'd happily send it on for the cost of the postage as it's been in storage for months now and I've still not bothered to put it on Ebay.

I too struggled to find a black sheet to match all our other gear, bought this one and it turned out to be far too big.

Premier Equine also do a black sheet but I think it has gold binding, whereas the Masta one has silver binding.
 
I have 2 Lavenham Cosy rugs - they must be 20 years old now. Fit beautifully. In their day they were the ultimate rug, I saved all my hard earned pennies to buy them - aaaahhh, those were the days!

Thinking black with royal blue piping, and then either the black or the navy and black rambo newmarket travel boots (haven't decided which will go better as I want the black, but they have a red stripe down the back...shame Lavenham don't do travel boots to!
