For some reason this year Shires fly masks seem to crinkle near her eye and have rubbed it, making it sore. Its not just one, I have a few and they all do the same?? So I tried a friends LeMieux on in Large and although not massive it sat much better. Searched all over to get a large size online as everywhere was sold out, eventually found some and bought 3 lol.
They are tiny??? Shes 16.1hh but got a dainty head and the velcro meets but at the end, the eye clearance isnt great either. So you find these come up small as it will be sods law the XL will be massive.
Thanks in advance :)

We tried a Le Mieux Comfort Shield mask for our 16hh Appy (his head is average to big) in XL and the fit was really odd so I am trying to sell it again. I can't actually recall if it was just small, I think it was more a strange shape/fit and didn't offer eye clearance.

Have you tried to Premier Equine ones? We have a few types but those are the best so far in my experience. Noah has had uveitis and has to wear a mask all day, everyday, and we have never had any rubs or issues and he doesn't get it off either.

Thank you and sorry for the late reply. I ordered an XL and its definately a wierd shape! Big round the jowls, fits over her poll area but strangely flat to her eyes. I will look at the bee keeper and the PE ones too. I think I had a PE one years ago, do you find the visability ok? I do like the thin mesh type ones for that reason.

Don't seem to have any visibility issues with the PE ones (I have also tried them on to check, haha) but they are a thicker mesh than some I guess. My mare also wears a PE one and she has cyst in one eye which affects her vision slightly and she seems to have no problem with them. :)
