Can anyone please, please, PLEASE help me with my little conundrum here?:p
Basically I spent a good 2 hours today in a store contemplating different boots to invest in for my mare as she is just coming back into a bit more work after a few months of steady (but oh so tedious) rehabilitation for a sprained suspensory ligament and extensor tendon damage:( So I'm looking for some boots to invest in for hacking and schooling (and eventually jumping and xc when we get to that stage:eek:)
I've seen good things about the stealth air xc boots which I think I shall invest in sometime soon.. but I saw some 'Snug boots' which looked interesting and couldn't decide between these or the support boots! Has anyone got any thoughts on either?? I can't seem to find anything about snug boots on the internet :( also if there are any other boots/makes that you rate then please do comment too! I don't want her legs to heat up too much and I'm quite drawn to the fetlock support they offer..
Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated guys!!

Hi there! I've just come across your post and I'm wondering exactly the same thing - snug boots or support boots by Le Mieux. I wondered what you decided in the end, did you go with one? I feel like the support boots are more what I should get (pony with ligament damage) but I kind of prefer the look of the snug boots - they look like they would be as supportive but less restrictive. I just wondered if you had any recommendation? Thanks for any advice!

I have both the support boots and stealth air xc boots. I school (flat and sj) and hack in the support boots and they are fab they stay in place and don't really hold water as I have XC in them and gone through water and they stayed in place. The stealth boots are also fantastic. They don't hold any water and again don't move. They are very very light but really do protect the leg.

Thanks for that! I'm still not sure between snug and support, but I think your comments on the support ones make me feel more confident that they would be suitable, so maybe I should just go with them.

Hey guys thanks for your comments, I eventually decided to take the plunge and just get them and so far I've been super pleased with my snug boots! They're fabulous they don't heat up her legs at all and they look absolutely lovely, I get lots of compliments :D they don't slip either which is great too!
I will say that the sizing is smaller than expected like others have said so I've got large on all 4 legs and they are a snug fit (suppose that's why they're called snug boots lol).
What swayed me towards the snug boots rather than support boots is that sometimes my mare can have a moment and I like that they're a bit more protective if she was to knock her legs. Also the material is different and I preferred the snug boots when I went and had a good look at them both :p so so far they've got a thumbs up from me! I did spend hours before deciding though as they both look good haha the store must have thought I was going to steal something lol

Too late now but I got the support boots for my boy because they came in the blue I wanted lol. They are good though and don't heat up his legs. Mainly for jumping now though which we don't do a lot of.

The YO makes fun of me when I have the horse in the boots and his le mieux blue numnah. He prefers a more natural look and no colour so we stand out quite a bit.

Pleased to hear that the support boots are good too, as I saw Moo's Shadow's reply about an hour after I bought them! Thanks everyone, I'm hoping they will be helpful.
