Le Mieux clothing sizing

I’m after a soft shell jacket, for horses and horsey work. I wash my coats constantly because I get so manky! I hate looking grubby so end up wrecking the waterproof ones.
My favourite Pikeur’s zip has just given up on me again, I’ve seen the Le Mieux Elite soft shells recommended and they have them at Brand Alley on offer.
How do they come size wise? They are clothes sizes rather than S/M/L I don’t want it baggy but hate tight across the shoulders!

They are quite true to size, I ordered one in my normal size and its perfect

I would say true to size in jackets I'm an 8 and I have a le mieux jacket in an 8 which fits me perfectly but only wear a t shirt or very thin top under it.

I have another one in a 10 and I can fit 2 quite thick tops under that one but it doesn't fit as nice, so I would go with your normal size.

Not sure about sizing but just to jump in and say - for waterproofing you can buy NikWash detergents or sprays, like when you reproof a rug

I was hoping they would come up slightly big or small

I have, sadly they still get leaky. I have newer waterproofs that I've not yet washed to death so figured I'd limit how dirty they get!

I haven't gotten a jacket but in my experience with their other clothes they run a little small - I would always size up with them.

i’d go for the bigger of the 2 sizes, i don’t find them as generous as, say ariat soft shells, for example.
