Le Mieux Pads

What colours do you have? I am looking for my new colour
I don't have loads but I have Black, Grey, Glace Navy. I did have brown but just sold that. I want to get Blackcurrant somehow for eventing.

I need to get a white one as well as they are smart for jumping! I'm not really into all the bold colours!

As someone who grew up in the 70s being told that anything coloured on a horse (i.e. not brown) is tacky I find the whole matchy, matchy phenomenon mind blowing. :p The West Wycombe fun ride this year should have been sponsored by Le Mieux as I've never seen so much matchy, matchy in one place. I have black tack and black numnahs. I bought a red saddle pad once for XC and thought I was being daring. I'm so old school and boring. :D

Well after saying I only needed three, which realistically that is all I need, I'm now desperate to get the Bluebell colour. Looks lovely! Which would then bring my collection to five.... :D So far have Plum, Corn Blue, Lavendar(my favourite) and Blush Pink.

I'm sorry but they'll never get a penny from me. Copying other companies in incredibly obvious and harmful ways, really ramping up these seasonal colours so well buy more. Bah humbug from a grumpy old woman who also doesn't like matchy matchy much. Mind you bear in mind that sometimes it has stopped people doing the best thing for their horse when they need to use a therapeutic pad but won't because of all their colourful numnahs and pads.

I like them, never had an issue with rubbing.
There's an app called Dress my Horse where you can superimpose onto a photo.

Yep, having gone through 100s of fun ride pics to find one of me, if I never see another pom pom hat cover and matching ear bonnet again it'll be too soon!

I find the loire ones awful. They bunch behind my leg and slip back. Mine is for sale. I also find the fit small for my 17.5 inch saddle. And no it's not my saddle as all my other pads don't bunch. I have heard this from a few people aswell.

I’m a sucker for the bluebell?

I wonder if the Le Mieux bubble has finally burst. About a year/18 months ago the new collections sold out quickly. However, I now see this year's summer pads being heavily discounted by retailers. In my opinion the colours are too similar to previous ones, dijon and mustard for example, so why would you fork out more money for the same thing? The cost of living crisis may also make people think twice about buying things which are a luxury rather than a necessity.

I have one - an old one I think (I bought it second hand), a navy saddle-shaped one - and it's useful because it fits my dressage saddle very neatly without being as big as a dressage square. However in terms of quality my PE and Felix Buhler ones are better (saddle fitter agreed, he said the LM one felt rather rough and he preferred the PE one I'd brought along). I know how commercialism works but I think LM's shameless theft of ideas from a smaller company, and the constant selling of "new must-have colours" has rather put me off.

I think what entices me to them is how well they wash up. They come out of the wash as new and dry quickly. The suede ones that is. I bought the bluebell one last week, done cross country in it in the pouring rain and it dried really quickly and the hairs hoovered off it very easily.

i've got a couple le mieux saddlecloths, my new favourite are the memory foam ones tho :)

I never tend to keep up with colours and new collections, although I did get the bluebell set this year as a treat.

Yes I agree they come up like new everytime!
