Looking for people's opinions on Le Mieux Pro Sorb pads!

My saddle is slightly tight for my horse at the front but yet needs a little lift behind so I was thinking of getting one of Le Mieux Pro Sorbs as they are adjustable.

Anyone have one?! How good (Or bad) are they??

By too tight do you mean the tree angles are too narrow? If so putting a thicker pad under the saddle will make it sit up more at the front to begin with, you'll raise the back even more to compensate and the whole saddle could end up very perched. If you think the fit is off at the front please do have a fitter out to widen the tree or adjust the flocking. I only ever recommending using a thick pad with either a sliighlty too wide saddle, with a horse who has muscle loss or with a well fitting saddle that has been fitted to take the pad into account. It does lift the front slightly more than the back.

Once you have the width fitting right, if you still need to lift the back of the saddle, then I recommend Mattes pads - the best sheepskin there is an nothing man made, I'm not a great fan of gels and foams - can be heating, can bottom out of bounce, and are less stable on some horses.

I have the Pro sorb numnah and am quite happy with it. The usual LeMieux quality, washes well, wears well and is very comfortable for the horse.
I wouldn't want to comment on saddle fitting issues, sbloom is much more qualified to give advice here :)

my horse has a back injury so i use the pro sorb with the extra thick pads at the back BUT saddle has been fitted with this in mind as they are very very thick. i did post the other day as unfortunately when i washed mine big tuffs of sheepskin came off :( but looking at the replies this is unusal and probably down to my numpty washing skills!
