does anyone have any reviews of these? I’ve been eyeing these up for a while but have no idea how to measure what size to get!

I’m 5’2 if anyone has any idea, never bought new stirrup leathers before had no idea they even came in different sizes! ?

I am 5 ft 4. I ride in Amerigo leathers that are 145 and they are in hole 13 or 14 according to the size of stirrups and whether I am in winter or summer boots. But if I put on weight, fatter thighs raise my feet and same with a wider horse.
I like to have the extra length of the stirrup leather to tuck back behind my leg. I faint when I see the price of them these days but I have hacked in mine every week for more than 20 years and they are still as good as new, though I have always cleaned them carefully and hung then up straight when not in use.

I haven’t seen them and they look lovely. If you did want to spend about half the amount I just bought a pair of Shires Velociti leathers which I’m impressed with, for the price.

ETA: I’m 5’5 with relatively long legs and bought them in 54” which seems about right.

Thank you both this is helpful think I may go for the 145 instead of 130 then ?

was wanting to try the thicker stirrup leathers, but they’re all so expensive the le mieux one’s were cheapest I could find!

My first stirrup leathers were unbranded Italian from our saddler. One inexplicably got lost at the yard. I sewed name tapes around the buckles of the replacement leathers.

I have these and they are lovely, wider than normal leathers and the quality is amazing. Sizing, I’m not sure as I am 5ft9 but we mistakenly got a 61” and I’m on the top hole ? so definitely not that size!! Probably a 48” would be fine I’d say.

do you notice a difference for lower leg or are they just nice stirrup leathers? Never tried the wide ones!

didn’t notice a difference, but tbh I have a very still lower leg (or so I have been told). I got them mostly for comfort as the thinner leathers pinch my legs.

Can you update us if you do try them? Been looking at them too!

I love them! I got the 130 and they’re a perfect length for me (5’2 on a 14hh pony) can’t feel them under your leg at all, felt it did keep my lower leg more balanced, but then I was using kids super thin ones before so not sure if that’s why I’m feeling such a difference, overall very happy with them! Lovely and soft as well.

Did you end up getting these? If so did you like them? And what size did you get? I’m 5”6 and can’t decided what size to get as I do showjumping and dressage haha!

Hiya, I'm not OP but brought the same leathers, and have used them for around a year now, they are quite soft and I will say that I have stretched one about a hole longer than the other in use, and upon speaking to my saddler who is also a show jumper she had issues with the wider leather rolling up under her leg. Other than that I've not really had an issue with them. I'm 5'2 something so short and stocky brought a 48in which is about 120cm and they suit me fine, but I do think if you are gonna invest the nearly 100 quid in them, maybe spend a little more and buy the ecoriders version for better and more hard wearing leather. Said saddler has made the switch to these in the last year and has no complaints about them and I'll be making the same switch within the year due to needing black leathers now.
Hope this helps! 😁

One gets this problem if the stirrups stay on the saddle. The leather on the left side stretches more because it is used when mounting. I dont have this problem as I take my own leathers and stirrups to the yard and put them on the yard saddle before I ride, random sides.

Hi Spotty_pony, can you punch more holes in? Is there room, and also how many holes do they have the 61” ones? Thanks

I got mine for a steal on FB market place 😅 I love them. I rode in other stirrups and leathers in holiday and couldn't wait to get back in my saddle. One side does slide over the bottom leather though but I don't notice. I don't know if this will cause a long term issue.
