Le Trec help please

Hi.
A friend would like to try Le Trec. Problem is that her gelding is very tall, and she doesnt mount from the ground.Is this going to be a problem at a competition?

You can pick and choose what you do in the obstacle section none of it is compulsary so it would just mean she didnt get any points for that bit, although i have done a few indoor ones and they dont always include a mount.

Thank you for that, someone has suggested using a stirrup extension called Leg up, or something like that, from somewhere like Robinsons??. Can anyone confirm please.

yeah you can, Equilibrian (sp) make them! I dunno if you allowed to use in a competition tho?

I never do the mount from the ground in Trec competitions. You find that nearly everyone has a weak spot and you can do pretty well even if you never do some obstacles.

Thank you, my friend is looking at the Stirrup mount from Robinsons.Has anyone used one, pros and cons?. And we are assuming that the French rules are the same as the English?
