Hi,
Does anyone know the dimensions they use for the canter corridor and s bend at Le Trec competitions? Thank you!

Oh give Zebedee on here a shout she is/was the trec guru and organiser.

Canter corridor: Length 8m, width between bars 0.5m.
S bend for each bend of the s: width 0.9m, length 4m.

This is according to the bhs trec rulebook but I do the Kellymarks winter series and there are two classes the open & the newcomers In the open the width are much narrower than in the newcomers.

Check out my web for some pictures!

Thanks cindlou that's great!

Ta for the vote of confidence Kerry- but I doubt it very much! You haven't seen my pathetic attempts at mounting Chance from the off side- her barrel like shape doesn't help either! If you come and watch promise not to laugh at me!
We could manage the canter corridor in walk and trot when we tried today- but results were interesting in canter (think we had it a little narrower though, not sure). Our slow canter and fast walk are also pretty much non-existant... lol

Would anybody possibly mind PM'ing me, I have some questions about BHS Trec as Im doing my first one (winter series) next month and have no idea about the obstacles / how you're meant to tackle them for the most points etc.!

I bought the rule book today M_M (after the event- possibly a bit late, lol!). It was a fiver and may well answer your questions!
