Lead rein showing classes

for M&M then navy hat with flesh strap (or green or brown hat to match tweeds), tweed jacket, canary shirt, canary jodhs, oxblood boots, brown jodh clips... oh and a tie. Shires do a good range of stuff at reasonable prices. My 3yo daughter has the malvern tweed which is good quality, lightweight, and looks smart. I paid about £25 for it new from ebay. You need to wear a tweedy suit. Skirt, jacket, blouse, hat etc... and you need to be able to run.

I've just found out, this LR lark ain't cheap

I would ditch the clips and use thick brown elastic - can never get the clips to stay in place.

You will often find some nice tweed second hand jackets on ebay - but I would suggest you go for a recognised make. Also look on places like Horse Gossip for second hand tweeds and outfits.

I made up an M&M leaders outfit from M&S and got a second hand jacket for my son. The secondhand market for good quality children's tweeds is extremely good and you are unlikely to lose much money when you sell it on as long as it is in good condition.

FMM: do you know where brown elastic can be bought? I tried everywhere and even my local seamstress and haberdashers hadnt any idea.
