This is probably a really stupid question so please excuse me!

So generally if you are just walking down the road, on foot, you are supposed to walk towards oncoming traffic, so on the right hand side.
And obviously, if you are riding on the road, you ride with the traffic so on the left.
But my question is, if you are walking on foot, leading a horse, which side do you walk on?!

Yes what Laafet said. If they spook or step aside this way you can generally block them. Also I wear a high vis vest so people would probably see me first and be more concerned about hitting a person than a horse!

Phew! That is what I've always done but somebody had me questioning myself today saying as I was walking I should walk towards the traffic so I can signal people. I said I can still signal people the same way I would if I was riding, but did have me wondering if I was the one in the wrong as I don't often lead on the roads!
