My mare was on Regumate for almost 3 months in the spring but she has been off it for 4 months, as she was dripping milk and her poo`s were runny. She was given it to help with her seasons, and now we know it wasnt that, but thats a different story, so she isnt or hasnt been in foal.
She is still dripping milk and when she turns round tightly and squashes her legs together, it comes spurting out. There is also little run marks down her legs in the mornings where she`s been lying down too.
Does anyone know what I could give to her to dry it up..
Thank you.

cut down in her feed intake and only give her hay/grass for a few days and this will help dry her up. i would alsomlet the vet know what is going on in case there is an underlying problem causing this

Yes please if you could find out for me that would be helpful, thanks

I told the vet when she gave her a scan, but that was about 3 months ago and she said that I was to leave it and it would dry up on its own! But its taking a long time. She is only on hi-fi lite and 1/2 scoop of cool mix am and pm, so not a lot of protein cos she can`t handle it. Thanks for your input.

and she said the same as you. Cut out the protein, no hard feed or haylage, just grass and hay for a week and that should work. I stopped it yesterday, so I`ll watch. Thanks for your info.
