Leaky rug

My very very expensive new rug leaks :-(

It leaks at the "darts" over his quarters when I add the liner it will soak water up like a sponge.....has anyone had any success in getting a satisfactory replacement via the three year guarantee?

Or am I the only one to experience this problem?
 
I have a feeling your going to say Rambo. Reason being. I have a new Rambo wug plus and last wk my horses bum was wet across the last 1/2 of his rump. I thought maybe the tail flap had come up as girl who puts him out doesn't tuck his tail through the tail security loop
 
I have filled out the guarantee on line, I have heard they ask you to do a bucket test.....but what happens next! I have a wug - a lite one, which has been brillant for years and has never leaked.
 
my experience of rambo customers services is very good though i did not have a problem with leaking, I think if it leaks they will probably send you a replacement.

Are you sure it is leaking or could water be getting in through rolling or the rug not fitting quite right?

i have have several rambo - the orginal and two wugs and neither of them appear to leak at all but none of them have any darting so maybe this is due is a different design and the more stitching on a rug the more likely it is to leak as water can go through the seams.
 
how old is the rug? have you had the rug cleaned? did they use the recommended product on the rug? definitely shouldnt leak. all my rambos have been brill. keep chasing for a replacement. they arent cheap rugs and are sold to do the job (or not in your case). have you also taken this up with the place where you purchased it from?
 
Thank you All!! In yesterdays squalls and todays persistent perspiration I had no leaks.

So ashamed.

I finally stuffed his huge tail in the loop provided and the leakiness disappeared. STUPID USER ERROR. Thank you all again.
