Yay! Go Abe. He's enjoying it too. He has a look about him that my old dog used to get when he'd stolen some food because stolen food is always like pure nectar to dogs. I reckon Abe's so used to commercial feed, from his previous owners, that he thinks this is all too good to be true.

You should have seen him when we first gave it to him.

His eyes almost exploded but he didn't know what to do with it.
He held it in his mouth for about 45 mins and then licked it for a while. In the end i cut each wing into 3 pieces and he got use to it now he eats them whole!

He is not a chewy dog, we gave him rawhide bones and pigs ears ect and he is not interested. But he will chew on a chicken wing!

Bless him. My old dog wasn't a chewy dog either. He would "love" his pigs ears and just carry them around with him, or put them in his basket to keep them "safe".

I really should "get over myself" and give Harvey a chicken wing. I just "can't"..not yet.

I'm a bit perplexed by him at the moment though. I thought Orijen was pretty much "up there" in terms of quality, yet my puppy is trumping and smelly on it this last couple of days.

Hmmmm.......

Maybe his tummy is just getting use to the food thats why he is trumping?

I have found sometimes that no matter how good the food is or whatever some dogs just don't take to a food and you have to try something else.

Cut up a chicken wing into a couple of pieces and give it to him then there is not much for him to drag around.
