Looking for some advice....my sons 12.2 sction b, leans on her bit and it pulls him forward making it uncomfortable for him (being a boy!!) The problem is, he uses her for first ridden, M & M etc and has to be a snaffle type bit. We have tried a hanging cheek, wilkie & cambridge Magic bit...she still leans and refuses to bring her head in and work in an outline. She works beautifully and short of strapping her up in draw reins/side reins etc I am at a loss to what to do....any advice greatly appreciated!

have you tried lunging her in side reins regularly to see if this helps? Also sometimes working them on a long rein and then bringing them back up helps self carriage.

Have you had back and teeth checked? If not, could be due to either of those.

With regards to bits - have tried/used metal mouthpiece only? Or tried a couple of plastic snaffles? It might just be the pony's preference??
