Ive been riding on and off 20 odd years but i've noticed now i've picked up a bad habit of leaning sideways or forwards.

Weird thing is I feel like Im sitting upright whilst mounted, its only watching back vids I see it.

Any tips for sorting it out? I do have lessons but havent for a while as not having a school its been too boggy

I would find an osteopath and get your posture sorted, so you are straight. You'll find it's affecting everything you do, if only slightly, by not being straight, and I'm sure this will help your posture onboard...I am sure if you search the posts someone posted in the last 3 or 4 months about getting straightened improved her & her horse's way of going no end.

We have a problem with daughter's pony leaning one way (hence I found your post) - he's quite young for his age, low mileage, so called the vet, getting saddler out etc but I'm actually of the view now, having seen someone else ride the pony and finding he had a similar lean but managing to correct it better, that it's her knee that is largely contributory by that leg not being quite as effective - she has Osgood Schlatters which is where she's grown quickly and the ligaments have pulled the bone where it's growing causing dicomfort and some pain when she does running, jumping etc - try stopping a 10 year old, any excuse to pop a jump over a watering can just when traipsing down the garden to do the ponies! She's off to the osteopath tomorrow and it'll be interesting to see how 'straight' she is and how much she's compensating for the knee, and once she has some excercises to stretch the right muscles and warm up before exercise what sort of improvement we'll find with the pony.

Get yourself a gym ball and build the strength in your stomach muscles and work on your core stability- works wonders!
