Coblet has started a new thing when hacking out!

He already has an extremely forward going trot, so you just have to keep him their with your hands lightly, although sometimes he randomly leaps off all fours and canters (gets brought back straight away). Ears are forward and he seems happy!

He just had all checks done, so do you think is exuberance and him just enjoying himself (as you dont tend to move out of the saddle much, so hes not trying to throw you!).

Ha ha ha haaaaa..... out of nowhere you get a 'weeeEEeeEEEEEeeeee' out of him??? Oh how I know the feeling lol! My bay Sammi does it out of sheer excitement too! Although he also does it when you can feel him wanting to explode, but if he can't get away from my contact he leaps to get me off guard and goes lol! xx

My boy started doing this as we set off for the Newmarket ride recently- he'd never done it before but i suppose it was shear excitement bless him seeing all those horses galloping and wanting to join in - thankfully he hasnt carried it on but i didnt try and stop him too much i just let him enjoy himself sat tight and held on!

Maybe it is a cob thing - zig tends to do it when she gets very excited too. She did it last week the moment she went in the indoor school. It was a little chilly too so maybe that doesn't help. Hmmm and cobs are supposed to be the sensible ones.

Sounds like fun! Just sounds like he is letting off steam... a bit like horses who have a bit of a buck after a fence... a sort of woohoo moment.... my horse occasionally will have a couple of mega "spring" canter strides after a fence... i put that down to excitement.

keep sitting tight tho hehe bless your horse! x
