So when we got Tessybear she was quite badly headshy and wouldnt graze near anyone in fear of being kicked or hit in the face. She wouldnt let you put fly masks on, have her face brushed, eyes wiped etc.

We have been slowly gaining her trust and showing her that we will never hurt her. Today the final sign of that paying of was shown, we hogged Tess again and unlike every past time where she would panick when the clippers were between her ears and we would have to clip her forelock. Well today she let us do it and kept very still, even let us clip her beard right back :D

I am beaming, felt like crying knowing we have restored some trust back into this beautiful mare who is nothing but sweet and certainly didn't deserve her past treatment :(

Here are some pictures of the beautiful girl, who has lost a lot of muscle ( to be expected) but certainly not at her best.

How lovely :) :)

She really is a beautiful horse :) :)

She gives so much to everyone, she brings so much joy to everyone she meets be it a boy with learning problems we met on a hack or the neighbours kids having a quiet plod on her, it was nice for her to finally relax and totally trust us :)

Thank you, im blessed to own her

She is a very good looking horse!! :) x

Thank you chuck ! Hopefully next year we can start showing her :D x

Well done on the head shyness - that is lovely news.

I think she looks awful hogged but I'm delighted she let you do it!

Congrats on the jumping too, lovely achievement :-)

Cobs are funny... My trad has had huge issues about worming. It's been safer to use an easy wormer. Till I was too any to find, then its been ok.... I have no problems at all doing this.... Yep ... Oh you are done? Ok then...

Thank you ! We don't do hairy cobs way too much effort keeping her clean, she does look bettter with more of a topline but due to having her foal has lost a lot of it. Not that it matter as nobody will see her i the field :D

Oh she cannot be wormed, way to much stress in the end we have to do the stuff put into her feed. She has always been funny with stuff round her face.

Fantastic, well done Tessy! She looks lovely :) And well done on the jumping too, love the invisible jump ;)

Thank you she is a lovely little mare, thank you ! she certainly took me by suprise she is the type to only do minimal effort and glide over the jumps but was so excited she leapt
