Leasing Broodmares?

Could be wrong but I'm sure Bbmat was offering this not long ago. May have that all wrong though.

My Clover hill mare is leased to a private home and had bred two super foals. Took ages to find someone I trusted with her tho!- are you looking for a mare or do you have a mare looking for a home?

I'm looking for a mare but I'm just at the gathering information stage at the moment

I'm a private home so would just be breeding a foal for my own personal use, not to sell on.

You mare must be lovely

She is lovely but injured at a young age (only 7 now), to find something like that just keep your ears pricked, the good ones will be through word of mouth!
I would consider selling her to her lease home but would like one of her foalies myself one day, think I will wait and see how her first few turnout!
We thought that in her we had a top event prospect but it wasn't to be sadly

Yep I think you're right. I'm prepared to just wait for the right mare. Or either wait longer and buy a foal. I ideally would like one with top dressage lines so don't mind paying over the odds.

Shame your girlie didn't come right

Still at least she's got a new lease of life being a broodmare

Asti goes in 2 weeks... its the place with the spotty stallion, Lily is one of his babies. Over near Whitby. He already has BD points and is now eventing (the stallion)

They also have a gorgeous young black Hanoverian stallion, but he's only 3 so not out and about yet and they are just using one of their experienced mares on him first.

Lily is (well the yearling I'm thinking of, I think she's called Lily) but she's black with a white little blanket on her bum and spots on it. Absolutely gorgeous and they are so friendly! I think because its a little yard, they have lots of time to spend with them.

I will keep my ears out over here for any brood mares seeing as we're not a million miles away...
