Leather gaitors how do you clean them?!

Probably an incredibly stupid question but how do you clean them?!

With saddle soap? With boot polish?

Saddle soap same as my tack.

We use boot polish, and conditioning stuff occasionally.

Same as tack but recently I was at home before a competition and forgot to clean them at the yard so just used leather shoe shine stuff, it did make them look nice but didnt get the dirt out!

I use saddle soap because I like them to be soft.
