Leather Head Collar Recommendations please

I want to get my mare a leather headcollar but don't want to spent a fortune. Its for everyday use with the occasional outing.

Any recommendations please?

I love my one from Derby house, think it's only £19.95 - is really soft leather, i use mine for everyday use and then clean it up for shows and travelling

Do they ship to the UK do you know? they look gorgeous and they are not expensive for what looks like fab quality

Ive got the John whittaker one 54 quid i think. Not the cheapest but by no means as expensive as stubben etc. I like it anyway...

I have a Shires James Sterling leather headcollar for Castle, it's quite nice for the price

Maybe I need to go to Ingatestone and have a look at theirs and have the touch test. The ones from the states looks gorgeous though and dead cheap

I have a Shires padded one. Its holding up well and its been left at the field in all weathers - really good actually as when it gets wet its not soggy

. Got a Cottage craft one before and it started to peel after 4 months!!

Am looking for leather headcollar too after horse got his stuck round unassuming piece of partition in trailer - panicked, reared up and head collar broke - why i always buy leather ones. These on Quillin web site look tremendous - like you I wonder if they export - Tia, can you let us know, please? Thanks

Yes they do export. Honestly, you will pay top price in England for halters made with a similar calibre of leather which Quillin use.

I have a cotswold sports one. its beautiful to be honest, lovely leather and basically a very near copy of the stubbens. Has padded nose and head piece. Best bit is the full size fits both donkey dan and little Fleur.

Think I may have to get measuring, it looks a bit complicated for the sizing but I'm sure it will be worth it. For a little over £20 we can get a fab looking halter
