Leather headcollars that don't brake the bank

Does anyone know of any brands out there which make leather headcollars that last, but don't cost an absolute fortune??

I will buy all the decent tack, boots, rugs etc for my horses, but for some reason I flatly refuse to spend 70-odd-quid on a headcollar - that's a tank of fuel for my car!

I just ordered an Ascot Padded leather headcollar for £29.99

i know theya re good as I saw one at Burghley but the had run out of Havana in FS. Gorgeous soft quality leather.

Ascot are fantastic headcollars - I bought mine from TC Tack and Things at Equifest, they engraved it on the spot as well, and it cost £40 (I think normally it is £45) with engraving - it is the bottom one on their website;

i always have a browse on ebay, the 1 ive got now was about £10 including delivery, had a metal plate on which i then got engraved.
the one before was similar, was only replaced because she freaked out when tied up one day and it snapped (which is why i have leather!)

Another thumbs up for the Shires Ragley, under £15 and had 3 for years now and still look as good as new, they soften up with oiling and look better than my £60 Mark Todd one!

I sent the Ascot one back It was a beautiful soft headcollar but the description didn't say it had metallic silver piping! It was horrible.

I then ordered one of Ebay. Itwas a Heritage Headcollar in havana and it is the softest, nicest headcollar I have ever had! £22!!! Bargain of the year for me!

I have a lovely soft Hydrophane one think it cost about £20 last year.
