any nice reccommendations. i would like a havanna coloured one with brass buckles preferably with a slightly padded noseband and a clip on the side so you dont have to unbuckle it.

nothing far too pricey please

Ah trying to think of pickles one what brand is it. Its a lovely one has clincher on a lot of it I got it for £15 at hickstead because it was the last day of the show and it was raining! its lovely will try and get a name for you

Well I just got a leather headcollar from Tesco online for £12.50 or thereabouts!!
It is padded and soft and obviously won't last forever as you get what you pay for but I was still quite impressed! They do them in Black or Brown

I got one from a stand at Burghley. It was about £30, and is quite soft and padded...... but although I looked round every stand for the best one, it is still not amazing. It looks like the colour is painted onto the leather i.e.cheap!
I'm going to get a stubben one or something.
Hmmm I wonder id wow are going to start making head collars?

I bought a leather headcollar exactly as you describe from the derby house stand at blehnheim. It was £19.99 and worth every penny

Out of interest why do you want brass buckles?

I've refused to make anything brass and invariably you end up with horrible blue / green copper leaks

Plus think too much brass makes people look like gippos
(ducks and runs for cover!!!)

I know one very well known equestrian expert and author who told me much the same........"Brass is only fit for gypsies and the cavalry" and the things he says about bits!
