Leather lined wellies?

Sadly I am a full on killer of wellies.
Cheap wellies last me no time at all, I also wear them a lot and so went a bit of comfort, a decent foot bed! I’ve just bought a cheap pair to tide me over and they are like standing on concrete.
Aigles always come apart between the sole and boot at the heel. Most recent pair just made it outside the guarantee, previous not got that far but I do think they are the comfiest. However once they start to go they are useless as the break is so low.
Chemeau’s I split at the ankle, I used to blame driving in them but I still do it even though I’ve stopped driving in wellies! They are still useable though for longer with the hole being higher!!
I first, though wear the lining out at the heel so my socks then all get holes at the heel and my food is on bare rubber 😂😳 I can wreck several pairs of socks a week once the lining has gone.

Is it worth trying leather lined boots? They are more £££ but if they last me better will be worth it, if they only last a year still though I’ll be gutted!
 
My go to were aigles but they now keep splitting. I bought a cheap pair, around £70, from mole valley, think they are called country. Really uncomfortable so I bought a pair of shaped insoles. Now they are really comfortable and so far are lasting well!
Just as an aside, my aigles were out of warranty, I had them about 14 months. Took them back to mole as the sole was coming away from the boot. They sent them back to the manufacturer and I got a full refund.

Hmmm, tried all these, plus various ‘luxe brands’, and there’s a good chance you might still wear through the rubber wellington exterior, irrespective of the lovely internal leather - based on my experience.
Once bought (in the sale, prohibitive before), two pairs of genuine sheepskin-lined rubber wellies - heaven! Don’t even need socks, crawl out of bed, do horses, first thing.
Kept one pair for ‘best’ (ie supermarket in the snow / downpours), still immaculate, and love them, other pair for farm.
Only issue was hay seeds falling into the fur pile, but the soles wore out same as usual wellies.....
Current farm pair are Goodyear, don’t do much for your legs, but very robust!
 
Can't help with leather lining but, I've just bought some bekina wellies following recommendations here and elsewhere as a fellow wellie killer. They're comfy, lighter than I thought they'd be and under £45 with delivery.
They're wide on the calf so I'm finding they do fill with seeds etc but they seem good so far. And based on previous form if they last 3 months that will be good!

I wonder if that’s a regular issue then? That’s what happened to all 3 pairs I’ve had.

Me too for exactly all of the reasons everyone has had with wellies be they cheap or expensive. My feet are warm, dry and comfortable whereas in wellies they would sweat then freeze. I am wading through muddy puddles every morning at the moment getting the horses in and they never leak. Best £70 I have spent on boots in the last 10 years.
 
I seem to get 2 - 3 years from leather lined Aigles which is far longer than other brands. Every pair of Chameaus I've had split at the base of my big toe - perhaps the way I flex my foot? Mr EM had leather lined Chameaus and the footbed was really hard and not comfortable at all, my Aigles are softer and really comfy.
 
My Dublin purofortd have lasted a long time despite attempts with a pitchfork. They are super lightweight and like some other stuff I just upgrade them with decent insoles with a solid instep - I use superfeet mostly
They do fancier versions too.
 
I always buy Dublin purofort they last on average 3/4 years a pair. I wear them for all horse work and dog walking but I have the same problem of wearing the heel out then destroying socks. I have a couple of pairs of wool mix that seems to stand up to rubbing quite well so only wear those for welly wearing.
 

I’ve managed to make these (unsure if this exact model) last 3 1/2 years so far including poo picking through sludge last winter & this. Given that I’m normally lucky to get past a year before things split / start leaking I’d say they’re doing well! They’re neither as comfortable, as warm or as grippy as my beloved Ariat ones (my previous go to brand) but it was getting unaffordable to replace them just about every single year. I think they’ve survived out of spite tbh!
