Hi everyone,

My Regent long boots have just snapped in half, right through the entire last and sole..so need a replacement! They always gave me blisters as well, even after years of wearing them.

I need a boot for competition (SJ and eventing), but also traditional enough to look good on the hunt field in winter. I'd like to invest up to around £250, as feet aren't going to grow anymore and don't want another pair breaking on me.

I had a look at the Mountain Horse range, but don't think I want any elastic inserts/stretchy laces/logos on them..want something a little more traditional.

Any advice? Links to online shops much appreciated!

Bought Ariat long boots xmas of 2009. had jod boots and chaps before that, that owed me nothing. Have had the ariat boots a year and a half, and OMG, they are like putting on a pair of slippers. Will always buy ariat from now on, unless someone can show me something more comfortable, but i'd doubt it!!!

Thanks everyone - I'm thinking not the Ariats, as even though they look really comfortable don't want all the laces etc. Found this boot online:

Which looks about the style I want (zip would be great, getting my old boots on and off was a nightmare!) but they don't seem to have my size! So back to square one..

I also like the Sergio Grasso boot Derby House has (http://www.derbyhouse.co.uk/prodshow.asp?id=573&cat=3&scats=73,46) but would be stretching my budget quite a bit..wonder if I could find them on sale anywhere?
