i bought a cheapy breastplate from a well known shop/web retailer in october

i used it once out hunting and it poured hard the entire time we were out.

it is now ruined. pathes of the brown have come off to leave a lighter colour underneath if that makes sense?! will try to get pics

Can i salvage it? i only paid £19 (1/2 price sale) so is it just because its cheap and nasty???
should i have taken it back tp the retailer?!

it has warped in a fashion... u will not save the colouring but it is not a knackered breast plate and is still useable.

JUst smother it in neatsfoot oil and saddle soap to keep it supple.

It would have happened to a sabre breast plate if it was not smothered in saop after beign exposed to such wet.
