Anyone got any idea what a leather saddle- alone no stirrups would weigh? Im getting courier quotes to post it but have no scales. Also does it matter if i OVER estimate the weight and book a collection?

Mine is pretty heavy, about 8 kilos? It woukdnt matter if you overestimate it I have done that before, you just pay more

The last one I posted was 8kg. Do you have any scales? Weigh yourself, then again holding the saddle and deduct your weight :O) x

I've sent quite a few, they way between 8 and 9kg. Most couriers quote the same price up to 10kg. Try Parcels Please, I use UPS through them, next day delivery £9.

My OH uses courier companies all the time and he helped me arrange one to collect a saddle that I bought online - he basically just guessed all the dimensions and weight! He said as long as you over-estimate it shouldn't be a problem. To be fair to him though his guesses were pretty accurate when the parcel arrived so I'm not entirely sure how much lee-way you have. We put the weight at around 9kg if that helps
