Leather softner.

Can anyone advise me what is the best product to soften leather please?
There sre so many to choose from and I do not know where to start!
I thought it would be a good idea to ask if anyone has any good recommendations.

I clean my tack often but it is brittle and hard with the cream I am using at present ( a balm from Decathlon, RUBBISH )

Effax or Neatsfoot!

Soak in a bucket of neatsfoot (no good for saddles unless you want to buy litres of neatsfoot and a massive bucket, but works a treat for leatherwork you can take apart)

I leave it 24-48hrs depending on how dry leather is and then wrap in newspaper and pop somewhere warm for a few days until it's all soaked in. Then I go over with a barely damp sponge and glycerin soap (don't get it too wet - ever so slighly damp sponge) to seal it all in and give it a nice shine.
