- I mean really quite wide!!! (I fit Mountain Horse High Rider Short/wide fit) Anyone got any recommendations?? Prefer to spend less than £100 if poss....

You need a pair of the Barbour leather wellies I have!

They are like a proper welly so wide in the calf just in leather although there is an elastic V at the back for those with very very wide calves (they swamp me as is!)! one problem is they are apparently discontinued and infact you may not get any at all now! I bought mine nearly 2 years ago for £70 and they are still going strong dispite no TLC whatsoever other than the mud occasionally being hosed off!

Fantastic boots and really don't know why they were discontinued.. but might be worth asking around some barbour stockists incase they got some hiding...

- they fit as long as I don't tuck my jeans in - weird really cos the wide fit ones didn't seem much wider than the normal fit ones

I have the same Barbour boots as you. Not the prettiest boots when viewed from the back but they accommodate my wide calves. Mine came from the Barbour Factory shop for £50 and are still going strong despite taking a bashing. They changed the style slightly for the later ones and they looked more like the boot Joules did last season. Did see a stall at Blenheim with them a couple of years ago. Try ebay as there may be some old stock lurking about.

i have some barbour leather boots and they came from the factory outlet near the tyne tunnel, but i havent managed to wear them in yet, they are really uncomfy still

(they are the leather and suede ones with a brass buckle at the top#)
