My old leathers are bonded calfskin, purchased on the advice of my saddler who said that the use of normal leathers had slightly damaged the saddle I was buying as it was also softer calfskin.
I’ve transferred to my new saddle and find they squeak, not badly but repetitive noise really irritates me! I thought it was my boots at first but pretty sure it’s the leathers.
Are all non stretch leathers nylon core? I want to try some just bog standard leathers most seem to be non stretch which as I never use a stirrup to mount I’m really not bothered about.
