As i start work at mid day and finish after midnight i can't take the horses masks off after dusk so was wondering about leaving them on overnight?

Thoughts / ideas / suggestions?

I'm not sure how much it affects their vision so not sure about the whole dark thing at night, they both live out until the stables are built.

Thanks!

myself and two friends have left our boys out with flymasks on for the last 2 seasons now,day and night,we have had no adverse effects at all,as long as they have them taken off and they are checked for any signs of rubbing daily they should be fine!!x

Mine has had hers on at night for about 10 years

Glad someone has asked that question I always um and arr whether to leave it on or not. Sometimes I do if its particularly warm and there are lots of flys about (like last night) I always check her eyes morning and night though to make sure they are ok

My horse is on box reast but last summer she wore it day and night.

The only thing id says to you is if you ride your horse during the day in the sun then use a riding one too and its like taking off shades and the sun can glare and give you a headache.

I used to use the equilibrium one for riding on her bridle then put the normal field one on when i got back from a ride.

Amarillo, have you tried the Cashel Quiet Ride Mask? It's fitted as a pasture mask(by velcro not straps) but the 'net' is much finer.

Mine have theres on day and night. Although it is important as someone else said to check for rubbing. We only have one pony who removes hers so she is left without as I feel if they dont like them then its safer to leave them off.
