leaving foal at home

my foal is now a yearling and she has company but still crys, neighs, winnys, and runs around crazy wen i take her mum 4 a hack, now i no this will take time 4 her to settle , but its been 4 mths now , that ive been hacking her mum, will she ever stop calling her, or no , its just that my field is attached to peoples homes and everyone knows wen we r out as baby is constantly calling,
 
How does she react when you take her out of the field and do things with her? Does she still call to her Mother? And how does Mother react when either of them are taken out of the field?

the mum really likes a break i think shes very forward to hack out and loves her work, and the foal dont call as long as she can see her, u no if were in the next paddock,,, i just think shes clingy, so i talked with the vet , cause i was going to separate mum again , but vet said just take mum out every day 4 a short time and get longer ,,, the yo said she does shut up after 20 mins , and just grazes, and then goes nuts again wen we return ,, hmmmm
 
And what is the yearling like when you take her out of the field to do things with her? Is she quiet? Does the mare created an issue when you take the yearling out of sight?
 
When I weaned my 2 foals, they just went in the next field, so they can see each other but could'nt touch, they do whinny each other sometimes, and if I go and hack Freckles, out Harley does whinny as if to say goodbye, and when we get back to say hello, but he does that with all our horses. The other foal he screams for them all, but then he thinks they are all HIS mares ( hes 1 next month and not gelded, and quite colty, but we dont take any s*it from him. Harley is 9 months, not colty at all, dope on a rope!!)

If we bring either of the foals in, they are both good, but they have been handled a lot, and have been used to coming in alone for a while now, to be groomed etc.... the first time I took Harley for a little walk alone he had a RIGHT srop, but the second time he was better, and now he is fine. it just took a little time. OK 3 walks.

I just think you have to work at it, do what the vet says, go out for a little while, and then make it longer. My mares are like yours and seem to enjoy the break,

Mine are still in the next field, so they have never been 'weaned' like everyone says, ie, seperate them so they cant see or hear each other, and ive had no problems, I have found it more natural, and they have not been stressed at all.

And im keeping my 2 entire, so I did expect a few problems, but they have each other for company, plus we have just rebought my daughters first pony, Welsh Sec A (16 years old now) sold him 5 years ago, but he arrived 2 weeks ago (to Spain where we are now) And he has firmly put them both in their place, showing them he is the boss (even though he is a lot smaller than them)
