Leaving yearling alone for the first time - am I being pathetic?

Hi all, just thought I would update you. It all went swimmingly well, we went out for about twenty mins and the little didn't even notice as she had her head full of feed. We got back to a bit of whinnying but that was it, she hadn't got herself in a state and calmed down instantly! Being on box rest for a couple of days has helped her get used to being in her stable alone so I feel happy that she will be fine after a few more little sessions! Thank you all for your advice!

Thank you, I was so relieved!!

Build on that success and by the time you have a 3/4 year old that is ready to break everything will be so much easier for you both. An independent youngster is so rewarding to work with and easier to teach when it is not clinging to it's mates.
