Anyone out there left holding the horses after teenagers have finally given up, having found boys, girls, university, love ,hormones.
Equally anyone out there feeling bereft, or ecstatic that weekends are no longer spent driving said hormonal teenagers and equally hormonal mounts around the countryside.
Are you now indulging in manicures coffee mornings and finding out what other people do, orhave you had to dig out the old boots grease the joints and clamber back intothe saddle. I believe this has been a topic recently but I can't find any postings.

lol, mine havnt got to that stage although they are 13 & 15 but i got so fed up with driving them and neds about and not having any of the fun so i bought my own horse after not owning one for 9 years! only trouble i have to fight my 13 year old over who is going to ride her!

Girl at the yard has just passed her driving test so her horse isnt getting rode as much as before.

I doubt now that i will be horseless until the day i die. There is a lady in her 80s near my mum who is still riding!!! That will be me lol

My daughter is 14 (going on 24) and still professes to love her pony - I have no doubt that she does but I do as much of the work now as I ever did as she reminds me that she also has a life outside of horses!!!! As the pony is at a livery yard now she grabs a lift with one of the other girls after school and I hope that all I am going to have to do in future is stick my head over the stable door and check everything is done for the night......... I doubt very much if that will be the case and I can just see myself in my wellies and work clothes finishing off for the night!!!!
