Leg chewing

my 4 month old lhasa apso bitch has been biting her leg for a few weeks so much so the hair on her leg has become alot shorter. she did have a scab on it a few weeks ago the scab isnt there anymore. any ideas what it could be?

My dog does this also - it could be fleas or an allergy. Mine has stopped doing it since I started on front line.

One of our dalmatians does this. She's been to the vet, been treated with all sorts of things and it's partly a separation anxiety and partly (as the vet put it), she's a bit neurotic. We just have to keep a close eye on her when she's with us, and she has to be muzzled when alone (well, with the other dog) so she can't chew it.
