Leg stamping

Over the past month my cob has been stamping his hinde legs, hes out in the field 24/7 at the moment and its been fairly hot on and off, his legs are clipped but the fur has come back slightly so he has fluffy legs, all i can think of is maybe field mites that have gone under his feathers, I'm always grooming his legs and the I bathed him this month and ive scrubbed his legs down within the last week but he is still stamping his feet.

Can anyone think of any reason why he wouold be doing this or some ways to stop it, maybe somthing i could put on his legs or some kind of shampoo?

Sounds like mites. I treat with Frontline spray from vets

Yep, my cobby gets it too. Ask your vet to bring some frontline down.

Ditto frontline spray, I order mine from www.leguidesante.co.uk as you don't need a prescription.

Do it twice, 10 days apart, so you get the mites from the eggs that are left over.

and yeah i think im gonna have him clipped within the next few weeks

I cleaned his sheeth last week, that was one of the things i thought might have been irritateing him but it hasnt made a difference, thanks for the help though
