Leg Strapes

Me and my friend were having a debate lol about leg strapes ?

I immediately take them off and replace with a filet strap. Evil, dangerous things.

For anyone who chooses to use them, someone has already answered the question; you cross them by looping through each other and attaching them back to the side the strap originates from.

As most have said you thread/cross them the reason being if it keeps the strap off the leg and stops it rubbing.

dwi - They are talking about the back leg straps on a rug.

Designed to be fastened back to the same side of the rug that they originate from, but to be looped one through the other to prevent rubbing on the inner leg

I'm with Tia on this. Never use them, especially since a mare came in with horrible cuts on both hind from her correctly fitted leg straps. I only use a fillet string and have never had any problems.
