Leg Straps of Fillet Strings?

Thanks everyone for the replies! Khalswitz, I see your point about using short fillet strings- G's old one had a super short one right at the top, which was part of the rug and as it was short we had no problems with it blowing off. I guess the issue with fillet strings on his new rugs is that the ones I've been trying are probably too long, hence why the rugs are getting all wonky! I'll have to have a go at shortening the fillets on his rugs and giving that a go... If they stay on then it's going to be a better alternative to leg straps! Thanks! :)
