As we are fast approaching that wonderful time of year when all things turn to mud. I thought I might invest in some leg wraps for my two horses. I always wash the mud off the horses legs if they come in covered and towel dry them off before they go in the stable but I was wondering if any of you could recommend a good make of leg wrap? Do any of you use them? How do you dry your horses legs off or do you not bother?

i usually have them in for an hour or so before i leave so they are dry by the time i finish off-then brush off.i wrap with stable bandages if they will be in the next day due to weather to prevent legs from filling
the older mare wears vardus magnetic wraps too as she has an old tendon injury

mine have thermatex leg wraps on because she gets quite bad mud fever and last year *touches wood frantically* she only got a couple of scabs so think they worked. i tend to just put them straight on

I use bioflow legs wraps, we don't get overly bad mud at the gates (YO put's down hardcore) and by the time I get to the yard her legs are usually dry so I brush of any bits of mud and wrap.

They are breathable so can be put on wet legs.

I have the Mark Todd Coolex wraps and the Thermatex ones - I prefer the Thermatex as I find them easier to wrap snugly around the fetlock and as I got them from their stand at Burghley they were actually the cheaper set of the two!
