Hi

Has anyone got any experience of Lemetex jumping saddles?

I've been offered one second hand for my very hard to fit gelding and it seems perfect on him (I'm going to get a saddler to double check) but I found it quite hard to ride in / sit on.

Just wondered what the quality was like?

Thanks :)

From my experience they are very nice quality and quite nice to ride in, feel secure over jumps. I have never owned one, but have ridden a horse who was fitted with one for a client.

I had a Lemetex dressage saddle which fitted my narrow, high-withered girl perfectly. It had recessed stirrup bars, so for the first time I didn't have to pull my legs in and under (she's a funny shape!) and was non-slip leather. The only down-side was that the seat was as hard as nails. I used it as a GP as it had normal length girth tabs, so hacked and jumped in it, but boy did my seatbones know all about it until they got toughened up. My bubble of joy was burst after 9 weeks when it was stolen along with several others (and I know who by :( )

I understand that Lemetex is owned by Stubben and I don't think that quality would ever be an issue.

I've got a lemetex alpina which is fab! really secure and seems to be one of those hard to find saddles that fit most things. It's a nice to ride in and I've done everything in it with no problems.
