Lending a lorry - would you be cross?

To be perfectly honest, I think you are mental - no way would I allow anyone to borrow my lorry.
As you very generously do though, the very least you can expect is a full tank on return.

When we had no transport (am lucky enough to have been bought a trailer now

) my friend and i would borrow our (adult) friend's lorry, and my friend's dad would drive. We ALWAYS, without fail, returned it with a full tank, clean in horse area and living, with a bottle of wine/bunch of flowers- and a replenished sweetie box

(though admittedly this is because we would empty it every single time

I can't imagine being as rude as some of the people mentioned here. You are definitely a very tolerant person!

The problem is once you lend your lorry to someone it's very difficult to turn people down if they ask. I have a lorry & some on our yard would like me to take them to shows or lend them the lorry. They don't ask though because they know I don't do it. I will help them out with most things but they never get my lorry.

Another person on our yard has taken people to shows & now she's finding it a damn nuisance because she is pestered about it. She has to hang about waiting for them to finish their classes before she can come home....a nightmare & such a waste of her precious time as she only has the one day off a week
