I have a 15.2 who i do bsja with, we get on ok but her striding is only a bit bigger than an average pony

does anyone have any exercises or advice on how to get her striding to an average horses (12ft) without flattening? any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'd set up a perfect one-stride distance (for a normal horse), with a placing pole in the middle of the distance, to encourage her to keep a bit of 'up' in her stride in the middle. don't have the second jump huge, just in case she doesn't get the idea immediately, and tries to put in a short one., and i'd have a decent filler or good groundline to encourage her to take it on if she's a little of it. i'd have the first fence 3' or a bit more ideally, so she doesn't land short because it's so low.
if she can open and keep her stride big over that, i'd repeat with a 2-stride distance, with 2 poles, etc etc.
i've seen people do this same exercise with raised poles, up to 1' high, but it's a hell of a lot of work for the horse. maybe try it with the poles at 6" high if she's good at it with them on the floor.
