Some of you may remember this post: http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=508742

On the 5th of January, at just 7 months old, Lenny was savaged by a Rottweiler.
His non-horsey owner (who had left him for 48hrs with no vetinary care) abandoned him with us, but thank god he made the phone call asking for a stable.

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.262075187193578.64082.262071850527245&type=3 Lenny had some truly horrific injuries, he had a gaping hole in his right hind and chunks out his belly and nose. He stunk of rotting meat when infection had set in.
He even had to have a piece of bone removed from his nose, and another from his right hind.

And so here we are now, just 4 months on and I am pleased to be able to report that all of Lenny's wounds have healed. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.334385009962595.78449.262071850527245&type=3
He is looking in fantastic health, has been gelded and this morning went off to his loan home where he can have a friend, live out 24/7 and generally live like a youngster should!

We did a photoshoot with him yesterday and seeing the happy, confident little man he has turned into proved we made the right decision to give him a chance at life.

A massive thankyou to anyone who donated and enabled Lenny to have the best antibiotics and numerous pots of Flamizine!

And one more, with his new best friend, Widget.

I was only thinking about him the other day, and wondering how he was doing. Well done, you've done a terrific job! Was there ever any comeback over the previous owner/the vicious dog?

Brilliant pics :D

How absolutely wonderful to see Lenny looking so well and cheeky! Hats off to you and everybody who helped to save him. Big well done :-)

Sadly no, RSPCA weren't interested and Police said there wasn't anything they could do.

What a fantastic job everyone has done... I had missed the original thread, and to see him in that pitiful state, with those awful injuries made me cry - no animal deserves to suffer like that.
The latest pics are wonderful and hes a credit to everyone involved in his rescue and care.
Massive well done to you all and thanks for posting :)

Wow. His luck really changed when you walked into his life! A lovely story with a happy ending. Lucky boy. Well done you. :)

Well done, he looks fabulous. Love the photos! I remember you getting a few spiteful comments on here when you first told us about him. So pleased things have turned out well.

I have followed his progress on Facebook. Well done, he looks fantastic and hopefully will go on to have a happy and useful life. That is some beard he has there!

What a shame the owner was never punished for allowing this.

I was one of Lennys carers while he was at Priory and i would like to personally thank each and every one of you who has donated, sent rugs and believed in what we was doing was the right thing.
He truely is an amazing animal who had the strength to carry on.
Thank you again.

Fantastic! What a little cutie-looks a real cherky chappie! Well done all those involved:) And,having read the original post that you linked to,to think there were some that thought he'd be better off dead.... :-/ Hooray for love&dedication where it's possible :)
