leominster sales yesterday

Did anyone go? Wanted to know if lot no2 sold and what the general standard of horses and average price was, thank you

I was going but changed my mind. I go regulary and the general standard is good, they are pretty strict about animal welfare and I have never seen anything very poor looking there. It is a nice sale (if that is possible) and I have bought there and also a friend has bought two, all of them have turned out to be excellent buys.
The sales results will be on the website in a few days, if its not on the list it either wasn't there or didn't make reserve.
The chestnut in my sig came from there many years ago.

i have an un-related question about leominster:

why does leominster pronounce as lamb-s-ter, and not lee-o-minster???
just wondering...

It's lem-stir; my Mum's home town - no idea about the pronunciation origins, sorry.

This wool was prized above all other English wool in trade with the continent of Europe in the Middle Ages.
