Lesson Prices with a freelance BHSPT Instructor??

We have someone at our yard who is BHSPT (I think) - She charges about £12 per hour. How much of that goes to her and how much goes to YO is another question though

It depends what you see as suitable payment, a BHSPT may have 20 years experience but never bothered to log their hours or they could have just passed the exam. People pay £20 + an hour for lessons with people with no qualifications so its up to you.

Before I got my AI, I charged £13 for 3/4 hour private freelance. I undercut everyone (except 1) in my area.

I'm a full AI, but with more than 20 years experience and proven reaults at low level affiliated Showjumping and Dressage. I will be charging £20 for a 1hr approx lesson. For a newly qual'd PT with little expeience I would not xpect to pay more than £10 but it really does depend on what elso they have done!

You'd be cheap around me. AI's around here are £25-30 an hour. (I charge a bit less than that as I haven't been around as long and am trying to build up a client base)

Thank you, so do you think between £18.00 - £20.00 for the BHSPT. She is newly qualified but she has taught for years & She has a proven affiliated Comp record in Dressage she is currently training to become a Mary Wanless Instuctor as well.

Does that sound to much??

My personal opinion? Yes. Unless she already has an established client base I think she'll find many new people reluctant to try her, rather than paying £5 more and having a fully qualified AI. That's how I found it as a PT. Sorry. I think she should charge £15 maximum.
