Sorry these are a bit late!
Tootled into the yard on sunday, and was greeted by shouts of surprise... Was a bit worried... Then realised it was cos they wanted to see my piercings!

First lesson was simply FAB!
I was on Albert... Now, he is well known as the slowest horse we have :? But he is SUPER comfy with a lovely flat back
I even had my first proper canter w/o stirrups on him a couple of months ago
I LOVE this pony!
He was an absolute star! He was a bit funny at first, but he soon started marching on, really trying hard, bless him! He even lead the ride for the whole hour... A big step for him

He sat there (or walked along, when i was being lazy!) when i sort out girth/stirrups, and was really good when we did some work in forward seat. We got to have a lovely canter towards the end, and boy can that cobby lad GO! His legs were a blur!
I was so so so proud of him
I think I click with him - he knows i mean business, so i think he gets his act together a bit... I dont let him get away with anything! And when he threw a few cheeky bucks.... I LIKED it

All-in-all, a really good lesson

Then in the evening, all the helpers came into the outdoor for a FREEZING round of gymkhana games...

There is something very special about playing gymkhana games under the floodlights... Makes it all the more hilarious!
I was on the lovely Schmalbert again, and we warmed up nicely. Then the games began!
Good god, that pony can MOVE when he really wants to!
Though i did have to exercise the PC kick a bit...! He was, again, a star! (no thanks to his wonderfully incompetant rider
)
It was now time to change horses.
I was sitting on Albie, quite happy with where I was, when instructor suggested I get on Merry... Merry who has occasional issues with brakes... And is FAR speedier than anything I ride there at all...

Well... It was AWESOME! For the last game we all went up to one end of the school and had to go fast as we could to the other end... I think we did halt-canter in that last race!!

A really really good day
And I think I finally have my confidence back
After me riding like a COMPLETE and utter numpty last week, i took a big knock, but now Im back, and im here to stay!
I want to say a HUGE thankyou to the other helpers... You are all AMAZING. You're always there, ready to give me a push, or give me the confidence to try something new... Love you guys!
