No lessons for months and I have two in three days!!
First up on Sunday was with Partoow, one of the most enjoyable and full of information I just tried to obsorb like a sponge.
Today I had a lesson with Nicola McGivern for Horse Magazine in Great Missenden.
I was a little unsure how it was going to go mainly because of the weather reports were issueing warnings of flooding and gale force winds
Madmare, my mum, Paddy and I set off at 9:30 onto the motorway.
It wasnt as bad as expected and we arrived in plenty of time.
Arriving at the gates we had to announce are arrival and the gates opened.
Driving in, OMG!!! everything was stone paving with a HUGE indoor school, Whitaker lorry etc.... I felt very underdressed.
A very kind lady came to meet us and showed us around, to the toilets and grabbed us a cup of coffee.
The tackroom and toilets, you just wouldnt believe it, it was out of this world!! everyone was so neat and tidy, and very friendly.
The yard was super, the stone paving was swapped for rubber flooring which was identical to the paving, so completely matched everywhere.
I just couldnt take it all in, 4 solariums full of fans etc too. I didnt want to leave.
The indoor school is the spitting of Addingtons new indoor, but had leather seating and heat lamps, they even had pastries a coffee for us
Snoop behaved perfectly and we started the lesson. He neighed to himself when he caught his reflection in the mirrors.
But he buckled down and we had a really good session.
The whole experience was just flipping amazing, Nicola is the most down to earth person! and very friendly. They even had "treat" dishes on the side full of sugar lumps for the horses!!!
Anyway, took a few very good tips from the lesson and along with Partoows information I am completely buzzing with information and cant wait to get out there and really start working.
We arrived home all safely too the wind had dropped and rain stopped and the sun even tried to break through
Thanks for reading.
