I aim for once a week at my yard for flatwork, and from February will be one a fortnight XC and SJ. Currently though the weather appears to be disrupting my plans somewhat!
Round about once a month flatwork at our yard with instructor who comes in, and once a month SJ, XC probably once every other month or thereabouts. Would love to do more but can't afford it!
Not often enough, would like to find someone near to help my daughter as it takes up a whole day to go to Partoow and of course diesel is expensive. They are really worth the time and expense but would like her to have help more often.
Every 2 weeks with a dressage instructor.
She gives me loads of exercises and things to do in the mean time and when I have my next lesson we can move on to other stuff.
At the minute I have lessons with my regular trainer once per week ( although this sometimes slips to once per fortnight for financial reasons!) and once per month with another trainer.
Once a week with flatwork trainer, every other week with jump trainer, but usually manage to get to a jumping clinic in the weeks I dont have an actual lesson
Depends really, when all is ideal I have a dressage lesson once a week from fellow livery who is a very good dressage rider. BUT because of her full time job, plus mine plus otehr things we have lessons in fits and bursts having about 3 in a row then none for a month!!
I join a rally/group lesson once a week, though haven;t restarted after xmas yet! And aim for lessons once a month though in reality I had my first one in 6 months last week!
It depends really, at the height of the eventing season i have a 1/2hr "top up" dressage lesson either the day or weekend before a competition and ill rarely have a SJ lesson. But in the winter ive had about 2 dressage lessons in 3months and loads of SJ lessons due to me working up with my SJ trainer over Xmas and taking Hattie with me
At the moment im having a lesson every week/fortnight what with a new horse to learn how to ride etc.
I have lessons once a fortnight on Hannah, and when Grace is back in work, I will take both of them to the clinics I go to so they will both have lessons twice a month...
I try for two or three times a month flat with once every six weeks or so going off the yard. Then jumping I've managed about oooo 5 in the last 18 months! Rubbish! Hopefully there will be one in Feb though...fingers crossed.
I haven't had lessons in aaaages as I couldnt find anyone I got on with who wouldn't look down their noses at my bargain basement exracers - however through HHO I have found a fab trainer who I'm trying to have a lesson everyweek with, the difference in my horses in just a couple of lessons is amazing and its really motivating me to get on and do stuff this summer that i didnt think I'd ever get to do....
I have lessons once a fortnight now on the flat, used to be every week. When i start with my showjumping lessons again it will be about every fortnight as well.
2-3 times a month. But am starting with another trainer aswell in feb, which will mean i get in another 2 lessons a month hopefully
Because i work full time and have to travel to get to my trainers i cant have lessons in the week, only on weekends. My current trainer is often really busy so its hard to find weekends when we are both free.
Well i'm very lucky because my trainer is my friend and so I don't get charged but I have 1-2 flatwork lessons a week. Jumping is less often, but I am hopefully going to get in 2 a month until I start eventing, not many then!!
